Your Home, Your Choice

At Ally Aid, we believe that everyone deserves a home that reflects their needs, lifestyle, and independence. Individualised Living Options (ILO) provide flexible, tailored support arrangements that allow you to choose where and how you live, with the right balance of formal and informal supports.
ILO funding is not about the house itself—it’s about designing the perfect living setup that works for you, whether that means living alone, with friends, family, or a support network.

How Individualised Living Options (ILO) Work

ILO support is delivered in two key phases:

Exploration and Design Phase

During this stage, we work closely with you to explore different living arrangements that suit your preferences, goals, and support needs. We consider:
Once we’ve designed your ideal living arrangement, we’ll develop a personalized support plan tailored just for you.

Implementation Phase

In this stage, we put your personalized plan into action, ensuring you have the right supports in place to live independently and comfortably. We help:
ILO is highly flexible, meaning your support can be adjusted to suit changes in your life, giving you complete choice and control over where and how you live.

How Does ILO Differ from Other Housing Supports?

ILO focuses on creating a living arrangement that suits your needs, rather than just providing a home. Supports under ILO can include:

Support Type Key Features
Individualised Living Options (ILO) A flexible, person-cantered approach that allows you to customize your living arrangements with a mix of formal and informal supports. Ideal for those who want more control over how they live.
Supported Independent Living (SIL) A structured support model where individuals live in shared or independent housing with 24/7 or scheduled support. Best for those who require higher levels of daily assistance.
Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) Purpose-built housing designed for individuals with very high support needs or complex disabilities. This is a housing solution, not a support service like ILO or SIL.

ILO is all about creating the best possible home environment for you—one that fosters independence, community involvement, and personal growth.
